Tiktok censorship evasion

Alright, let's talk about the tiktok ban in the US. First of all, I'm not answering the question of whether it's moral or not, but you can probably tell by my actions of what I believe. I've done some testing and found some interesting results. First off, if you go to tiktok.com in your browser(with a US ip address), it says it's banned in the US. This blog will mostly be covering the browser version, because it is accessible to the most devices, although I would have hope for the android version working through just downloading an APK or already having it. Basically, from my preliminary testing, this is one of the easier things to circumvent, mostly since the company doesn't care whether you do or do not circumvent their block. Now, the first test I did was on my phone: Phone (I've tested on android but iOS probably works): 1: download windscribe VPN(if you have proton VPN premium or some other solution they may work too) 2: get on a browser. I personally use the android version of normal firefox(I don't think you have to clear cookies or anything, but if you do end up having trouble, try firefox focus) 3: go to tiktok.com, if you're signed in with a US account, you may need to sign out, clear browser history, or use firefox focus. Computer preliminary tests: 1: download windscribe or proton VPN(you don't need premium for the desktop version), connect to Canada 2: open browser (tested on firefox and chromium) and go to tiktok.com 3: go to tiktok.com, if you're signed in with a US account, you may need to sign out, clear browser history, or try another browser. accounts: It seems that there is no way to change your US account into a Canadian one(or some other country), but it does seem that you can create a new account with an email(I just used protonmail or my own email server) through your VPN. Also, try to do it on a desktop computer. You may also get warnings that you need to use the mobile app, but with enough tries of different ip addresses, it does seem to work eventually. app: I have tried to use the tiktok app through an android APK. It seems to work for login but not signup. If you are logged in to a non-US account, then it won't break if you don't have a VPN, but it won't play videos. If you do have a VPN videos work fine. website login might be broken through a VPN. I tried it a little, but the I am not a robot checks keep failing. I'll do more testing in the morning including iOS, the android application, trying to get the desktop site working, and creating a non-US account.
